HOW TO FIND YOUR AMAZON SELLER ID, MERCHANT ID AND MERCHANT TOKEN

Amazon Merchant ID or Seller ID is a number that everyone can see, and it identifies your storefront and the things you sell on Amazon. A Merchant Token is like a private number, kind of like an API key, that you use to connect with Amazon MWS apps. This post will show you how to find both IDs.

What is an Amazon Merchant ID

A bunch of numbers that you can find in the URL for your products or storefront. It is also known as a Seller ID

You might need this ID to sign up for Amazon services or create special URLs for your products. Don’t worry if someone sees your Merchant ID because it’s not harmful.

How to Find Your Merchant ID

The most convenient method to locate your Merchant ID is by visiting your Amazon storefront URL.

To find the link to your storefront, you have the option of either locating it in Seller Central or clicking on the link in the “sold by” section of one of your product listings, followed by the link that says “[Seller Name] Storefront.”

The URL contains two IDs: the Amazon Marketplace ID and your Merchant ID. The Merchant ID is identified as “me=[your ID].”

To locate your storefront, you can either access Seller Central or click the link in the “sold by” section of one of your product listings and then click the link that is labeled as “[Seller Name] Storefront.” The link to your storefront can also be found in Seller Central.

By Passing Buy Box

It is possible to utilize your Merchant ID to encourage customers.  Through this, they can choose your products over others listed. It works even if you don’t have the Buy Box. Just send people a URL with your Merchant ID embedded, and you’ll appear in the Buy Box for them.

There are two ways to do this. First, find the product in your storefront and click through to the listing. Make sure your name is in the Buy Box. Then, click to copy the link and send it to potential buyers.

Another option you can do is to add your Amazon Seller ID to the end of a URL where you’re a seller. Just take the Amazon product URL, add “&m=[your merchant ID],” and test the URL.

It would be best if you now showed up in the Buy Box. This is a great way to boost your Organic sales and improve your chances of winning the Buy Box when competing with other sellers.
